Advantix is used on dogs and puppies only.
Advantix kills adult and larval fleas within 20 minutes of contact. It stops fleas from feeding in 3 to 5 minutes. Advantix may be used as the only product for flea control as it breaks the life cycle and kills all fleas emerging from the environment to reinfest the dog.
Advantix is also used for the control of ticks including the paralysis tick (lxodes holocylcus), brown dog tick (Rhipicephalus sanguineus), and bush tick (Haemaphysalis longicornis). It controls Lice (Trichodectes canis, Linonathus setosus) for up to 6 weeks; repels and kills of mosquitoes (Anopheles, Culex, Aedes sp.), biting midges (Phlebotomus, Culcoides sp.) and stable flies (Stomoxys calcitrans).
Advantix is water fast, it remains efficacious after shampooing, swimming or exposure to rain. Advantix is safe to use on puppies from seven weeks of age. It is safe for use on pregnant and lactating dogs.
