Heartgard is a monthly medication for the prevention of canine heartworm disease. Heartgard can be used on all breeds of dogs, including pregnant females, breeding bitches, stud dogs and puppies six weeks of age and older.

Heartworm testing should be performed prior to the start of Heartgard schedule.

Application:

Make sure your dog swallows all of the tablet. To make dosing easier, you may want to wrap the tablet in food. If only part of the tablet is consumed, redosing is recommended.

When used as directed, Heartgard has a wide safety margin in all breeds of dogs, including pregnant females, breeding bitches, stud dogs and puppies six weeks of age and older.
